2024 NFL Draft Odds: Huge Favorite To Go No. 1

Hey, NFL fans, if you feel like your team did poorly in their 2023 NFL Draft, which ended on April 29, there’s always next year’s Draft in Detroit (April 25–27, 2024).
And the 2024 mock drafts naturally have already begun as NFL scouts analyze prospects nearly every day throughout the year.
However, we already know, just as we did this year, who is going first overall in 2024 … or do we?
Oddsmakers certainly think so and, right now, it would be silly to believe that anyone other than USC quarterback and 2022 Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams is going No. 1.
The odds I’m using are from DraftKings Sportsbook, one of our favorite sites, along with many other great gambling companies in the U.S., including FanDuel Sportsbook, BetMGM and more.

Williams is viewed by some as the next Patrick Mahomes (Spoiler alert: He’s not) and would have been the top selection this year over Bryce Young were he eligible.
Instead, he returns for his junior year and has the chance to become only the second player in college football history to win back-to-back Heismans.
It could be another magical season – except for getting crushed by Utah in the Pac-12 title game last December – for Williams and the Trojans.
Or he could get injured or suffer through a bad season. I don’t expect either of those things to happen but in football, ya never know.
If he emerges from the 2023 campaign in reasonable health and with solid stats, he’s a lock for No. 1 – and for whichever team picks there.
We could be looking at a scenario in which a team gives up a ton of draft capital – this year it was the Carolina Panthers – to move up to No. 1 and grab their franchise QB.
And also just like this year, the 2024 NFL Draft, as of this writing, appears to be a two-man race to be the top guy.
The second betting favorite is not surprisingly another quarterback: North Carolina’s cannon-armed, athletic stud whom ESPN analyst David Pollack has described as “Justin Herbert 2.0.”
Spoiler alert: He’s not.
So, until something major happens otherwise, Williams is best in class and will be rewarded as such.
Probably wise to wait on a wager – those -550 odds are way to risky right now – but remember Young’s odds went from -100 to -1500
Your call – but Caleb’s getting that exciting call no matter who’s on the clock at No. in 2024.
