It’s one of the biggest college sporting events of the year, and it's just around the corner. March Madness officially starts on Sunday, March 13th–so while you have some time to figure out all your bets, I wouldn’t get too comfortable.
Betting on March Madness is easy–but it’s winning that is the hard part. Here are some tips and tricks that will hopefully lead you to a successful March.

March Madness Betting Tips
Now before I say anything, let me say this: March Madness seems to live up to its name every year. The absolute chaos that ensues after every tip-off is not only indescribable, but it’s unpredictable as well–so these “tips” I’m giving may be as useless as a pencil with no eraser.
But, with all that said, I am a big fan of trends and tend to follow what happens year to year closely, so here are some of my thoughts.
Have at least one #12 Seed Beat a #5 Seed, Maybe Two
It seems like every year we have a few #5 seeds fall, so it feels like this year we’re bound to see the trend continue.
#1 Seeds are the #1 Seed for a reason
At least have them all going to your elite 8, for the love of god.
Upsets Happen, So Don’t Be Nervous to Bet on One
UPSETS HAPPEN. That's March, baby. If they didn’t happen, then it would just be called “March Normal Stuff,” and who would watch that?
