Another US Men's National Team Talent Is Headed to the Premier League Thanks To Leeds United

Leeds United have signed USMNT star Brenden Aaronson from FC Salzburg for a reported $29.5 million. Reports also indicate that Aaronson has signed a 5-year contract with Leeds, keeping him in England until 2027.

"It's an amazing feeling to be here at this historic club, I am really excited for the new season," Aaronson said.

Aaronson, 21, is regarded as one of the top US prospects and is set to play a big role in the USMNT effort for the World Cup. Aaronson joins other marquee American talents in the Premier League, such as Christian Pulisic (Chelsea), and Zack Steffen (Manchester City). Josh Sargent would have been on that list, but Norwich failed to avoid relegation in the 2022 season, so he will be playing in English Football League Championship in the upcoming season.

Aaronson is a product of the MLS, having started his professional career with the Philadelphia Union. From there, Aaronson went on to play for FC Salzburg, where he helped the squad win two Austrian Bundesliga titles and two Austrian Cups.
