The Yankees are as hot as a pistol in a swimsuit right now, winning each of their last seven and 14 of their last 15. Last night’s 2-1 win over the Rays was all thanks to the pisan himself, Anthony Rizzo, who hit a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. This win puts the Yankees 31 games over .500 as they head into Toronto to take on their AL East rival Blue Jays. If you think the hot streak will continue for the Bronx Bombers, be sure to bet on them through any of these New Jersey Online Casinos.
The walk-off by Rizzo was his 16th of the season, and seeing as how there are still almost 100 games left he is well on his way to reaching a career-high in home runs. His current career-best is 32 (which he’s done in 2014, 2016, and 2017).
The Yanks have a lot more to thank than just their bats, though. Over their last six games, the Yankees have given up an average of 1.5 runs to their opponents (the Cubs and Rays). In their last 30 games, the Yankees have only given up four or more runs in 11 of them (four of which were four runs exactly) so their pitching has been on point.
We are seeing some historic output from replacement Yankees closer Clay Holmes, who has only allowed one earned run ALL SEASON (29 appearances, 30.2 innings pitched). Holmes is filling in for the injured Aroldis Chapman, who is actually expected to return real soon. Aaron Boone and the Yankees will have a tough decision to make when he is ready to go, as Holmes has more than earned his spot as the permanent Yankees closer.
I of course can’t talk about the Yankees though without mentioning Aaron Judge, who is currently on pace to beat Roger Maris’ single-season Yankee home run record of 61. Judge, who has 25 home runs through 63 games, is on pace to finish with 64. This would cement his legacy in pinstripes, which couldn’t come at a better time seeing as how his contract is up at the end of this season.
If you think the Yankees have what it takes to win it all this year, be sure to bet on them through any of these Michigan Online Casinos. If you choose to bet through DraftKings, make sure you check out these DraftKings Promos so you can be sure to grab an upper hand.
