Connor McDavid is coming off of what very well could be the biggest game of his career. 5 minutes into overtime, McDavid managed to net a game-winning goal, pushing the Oilers to a 5-4 victory over the Calgary Flames on Thursday. This goal not only won the Oilers the game, but it moves them onto the Western Conference finals.

“I was bad all night,” the Edmonton captain said. “I was riding the coattails of my teammates and got a great opportunity and so I’m happy to contribute.”

Humble, yes. Skilled? Definitely.

In the NHLPA’s recent Players Poll, McDavid was the overwhelming choice (almost 43%) for the skater that most players would want on their team if they needed a win. The 25-year-old center won his fourth scoring title this season, netting 44 pals with a career-best 123 points.

The Oilers are now headed to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2006, and will face the winner of the Colorado Avalance/St. Louis Blues series. If you want to back McDavid and his Oilers, you can do so on any of the Pennsylvania online gambling sites.
