Dallas Selected to Host 2026 FIFA World Cup

The great big city in the Lone Star State of Texas has been selected to be the host city for the 2026 Soccer World Cup. Now, this is a bit different from previous Soccer World Cup competitions where an entire country is selected to host the global event. But most well-traveled people know that the US itself is the size of a continent, and its states with their own different individual laws basically operate like countries who have the sovereignty to pass and uphold their own laws.

Once one can understand this then it's easier to accept the concept of a host “city” and not a country. Dallas itself makes a great argument for being able to host major events, whether it's the Super Bowl, the Final Four, NBA All-Star weekend or a World Series, they have the receipts to show their ability.
Dallas is the City of big ideas and even bigger achievements, and in sports, there's no difference. They have earned the reputation as America's premier sports destination and they were named as the “No.1 City for Sports fans.”
This is their vision statement below…
“Create a soccer experience for a new era by uniting our diverse region, connecting fans from all cultures through the beautiful game and serving our communities for decades to come by breaking down barriers in a way that only sports can transcend.”
