Three Weeks Away From College Football Season Means Three Best Future Bets

The college football season officially kicks off on Aug 27, which means we’re just over four weeks away from that glorious madness beginning.
Among the games that will start things off on Saturday: Nebraska at Northwestern, Connecticut at my beloved Utah State (family members; I’m a University of Utah grad and we’ll get to that), and Hawaii at Vanderbilt. Huh?
Let’s take a look at who you should be betting on right now, through our friends at DraftKings, where you can get a match on your first deposit up to $2,000, no typo.
Utah State -27.5 vs. Connecticut
This game will be played in Logan, Utah, an extremely enjoyable college campus and also a mighty difficult place to play. Just ask the Utes or the Cougars (players, not Zach Wilson’s mom’s friends; wink-wink, nudge-nudge).
Logan, Utah, is a delight and a summer’s day picnic full of fun … but at night, at that stadium, trouble lurks. USU has a good team coming back too. And I’m not sure the Huskies are even gonna be up for this game. The Huskies were 1-11 last season, so, not good. The Aggies, on the other hand, always field a solid squad. This is going to be a blowout by more than 30.
Utah over 8.5. Wins (FanDual -145)
Here’s the deal with Utah. It’s not that I’m a Ute grad, although there’s something there.
It’s that program just defies everything. They can’t be that good, right? Wrong. They will, despite swearing, F-you up. For real. And they will win nine or 10. Mark my words on this one ladies and gents.
And finally, as a Utah lad, we’ll head down south, but that’s only for Tom Petty, to Provo, Utah, which is the home of the BYU Cougars. Hmm. What to make of them, huh? Never know.
But also based on what the odds are on BetMGM, the Cougars’ odds for the over/under are only 8.5. Again, that Utah team is winning nine or 10. Mark it and book it, Dano!
We’re done here.
