Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva: Odds, Predictions, and Best Bets

Boxing purists, close your eyes. In one week's time, we’ll be able to watch the latest edition of Jake Paul’s boxing extravaganza, as he is set to take on UFC Legend and 3-1 professional boxer Anderson Silva.
This will be Paul’s sixth professional bout and it comes after his highlight knockout of Tyron Woodley back in December 2021. Paul is infamously undefeated, yet has often faced criticism of never fighting a “real” boxer. So far, he’s beaten former UFC welterweight champ Tyron Woodley twice, former Bellator champ Ben Askren, former slam dunk champion Nate Robinson, and UK YouTuber AnesonGib. In response to the criticism, Paul booked a fight against the 47-year-old Silva.
Granted, Silva has the most boxing experience out of all of Paul’s previous opponents combined. Silva’s most notable boxing victory came back in June 2021, when he beat former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr by a split decision. Silva followed that performance up by knocking out former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz, but let’s be real–I could probably knock out Ortiz nowadays.

Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva Prediction
I’ll start things by saying: it’s almost impossible to predict things like this. This is Paul’s sixth fight, and we know he has knockout power and speed–but does he have what it takes to take down a counter-striking pro like Anderson Silva? Silva has such an awkward stance and experience galore, so he may pose problems to Paul that he’s never faced before. Silva also has an inch height and reach advantage, so Paul may have problems in the early rounds trying to deal with that.
Before I go on further, I’m going to stop myself. I can't believe I’m trying to actually break down this fight–I feel like if I don’t take Paul by KO, I’m an idiot. Jake Paul, love him or hate him, is a genius–he hand picks his opponents, doing everything he can to find the most highlight reel-able dance partner–and what would be bigger than Paul knocking out Anderson Silva?
As much as it pains me, and as much as it is against my better judgment, I’m going Paul by KO.
Prediction: Jake Paul by KO/TKO/DQ (+500)
