James Harden Declines Option With Philadelphia 76ers

James Harden of Philadelphia has declined a $47 million extension with the 76ers and has opted to join free agency in search of a better situation.

Harden is doing this in order to make way for a new deal with Philly that would deliver the Sixers roster-building flexibility in free agency -- including use of the full $10.5 million exception.

"Obviously, we have to work with his representation and that'll be between us to figure out how that works," Morey added. "...
