Juan Soto Is Headed To San Diego

The hunt for Juan Soto is finally over. News broke earlier today that the 23-year-old Soto is headed to San Diego along with fellow teammate Josh Bell for what appears to be almost all of the Padres prospects.
Okay, that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but take a look at what the Padres are giving up and see for yourself:
- LHP MacKenzie Gore
- OF Robert Hassell III
- SS CJ Abrams
- OF James Wood
- RHP Jarlin Suana
- 1B Luke Voit
It’s a massive trade, but didn’t we all expect it to be? Soto is a special talent who has two years left on his contract, so the Padres can really make a push for a couple of rings if things play out. Additionally, the Padres now have three of the most exciting names in baseball: Manny Machado, Juan Soto, and Fernando Tatis Jr…what a time to be a Padres fan.
Initially, the Padres were meant to hold onto Luke Voit and trade Eric Hosmer to the Nationals, but Hosmer had a no-trade clause and the Nationals were on his no-trade list. Who wasn’t on that no trade list was the Boston Red Sox, who scooped up the veteran First Basemen for an unnamed prospect.
Hosmer was initially owed a ton of money by the Padres over the next couple of years, and as a part of the trade, they are paying the remaining $44 million of his contract.
This trade sent the Padres skyrocketing up the MLB Future bets rankings, and their odds are now +1100 to win the World Series (sixth best in the MLB). You can be sure to bet on the World Series through any of these New Jersey Online Casinos.
