NFL Week 13 DFS: Players With The Best Value

I took a week off for Thanksgiving–I needed as much money for Black Friday and Cyber Monday as humanely possible. But, now that the start of the holiday shopping season has passed, it’s time to focus on online sports betting again–more specifically, Daily Fantasy Sports. I’ll give out my best lineup for the week, with player values provided by DraftKings Sportsbook.
If NFL Sunday isn’t for you, you can check out these sweet NCAAF bets instead.
Best DFS Quarterback Week 13
Trevor Lawrence ($5900)
The Lions' pass defense is horrendous, and Trevor Lawrence is coming off the best game of his career–how can you not love him at this price point? Though he’s been inconsistent all year, he has multiple touchdowns or has topped 300 passing yards in five of his last eleven games. Last week, Lawrence went 29 of 37 passes for 321 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. The Lions have given up an average of 271 passing yards per game on the season, and have allowed multiple passing touchdowns in three of their last five.
Best DFS Running Backs Week 13
Nick Chubb ($8000)
This one is a bit chalk, but I really do believe that Nick Chubb will be the best running back in week 13. You can take the money you save from pick Lawrence and spend it here on Chubb, who is poised for a huge week here in week 13 against the worst run defense in the NFL (the Texans). Chubb has already tallied over 1000 yards on the season and has 12 rushing TDs. I expect him to add a few more to his total here against the Texans.
Jaylen Warren ($4900)
Warren is the hot pick of the week thanks to Najee Harris’ injury, but how can you not be at least intrigued? At under $5000, Warren comes as a great value–especially considering he will be the Steelers' lead RB in week 13, playing against one of the worst rush defenses in the league (the Falcons). Warren was questionable earlier this week, but has been a full participant in practice for the past two days. Warren is a great pick for those that are trying to save some funds.
Best DFS Wide Receivers Week 13
Amon-Ra St. Brown ($7100)
I know I was talking trash about the Lions' defense earlier, but their offensive struggles have been disappearing with every game. Last week, Brown was targeted 10 times and caught nine of them, tallying 122 receiving yards and a TD. Brown has also been a different animal in home games compared to those on the road, going for 130+ more yards at home with four more touchdowns as well. In week 13 the Lions are taking on the Jaguars, who don’t have the strongest pass defense, so Brown could be in for another big week.
Keenan Allen ($6500)
I know, we’re getting a bit pricey here, but it’ll all be worth it. I think Allen is a great play here in week 13, as the Chargers are taking on the Raiders in what should be an all-out offensive war. Allen was able to find the endzone last week on 5 catches for 49 yards, and has been a go-to option for Herbert since he returned from injury.
Garrett Wilson ($5300)
Wilson emerged as one of Mike White’s favorite targets in Week 12, catching 5 balls on 8 targets for 95 yards and two touchdowns. It’s been a very boom-or-bust type of season for Wilson, but with Mike White behind center, the upside is definitely there. The Jets are taking on the Vikings in week 13 which is definitely a daunting task, but the Minnesota pass defense has shown some holes in recent weeks that the Jets may be able to capitalize on.
Best DFS Tight Ends Week 13
Tyler Conklin ($3100)
We had to save some money here at tight end, but it doesn’t come at such a loss. While Conklin definitely has a low floor here in week 13, his ceiling is just as high. He was targeted three times in week 12 by Mike White and managed to catch all three passes for 50 yards. He’ll be facing off against the Vikings this week, which is the team he spent the first four years of his career playing for.
Best DFS Defense Week 13
Seattle Seahawks ($3600)
The Seahawks are taking on the Rams here in week 13, who have scored 20+ points just once in their last five games. The Seahawks' defense isn’t the strongest, but I’m relying on a broken Rams offense to continue to fail.
