As division competition heats up, and more is at stake with the playoffs just around the corner, Week 14 of the NFL season brings us some tough games between top competition. Here are some of my best bets for this Week's games, as well as my predictions for how each game will play out in Week 14 of the NFL season.

Thursday Night Football: Pittsburgh Steelers at Minnesota Vikings

The pieces of the puzzle are beginning to come together for the Pittsburgh Steelers, thanks to the involvement of Najee Harris in the passing game. I expect him to have a great game this week, seeing as the Vikings' secondary is not that strong and their run defense shows constant signs of collapse. To be fair, both the Vikings AND the Steelers have weak run defenses, be two of only six teams in the entire league to allow an average of 130+ yards on the ground a game.

Simply, I believe the result of this game will come down to which offense is able to perform better than the other--and since the Vikings will be playing without Adam Thielen and with banged-up Dalvin Cook, it could be a long night for Minnesota.

Prediction: Steelers 23-Vikings 20

Game of the Week: Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals

When the Rams are able to protect QB Matt Stafford, they usually stand a decent chance at winning. However, the last time these two teams matched up the Cardinals pass rush absolutely shut him down, keeping him under 300 yards and forcing him to throw an interception. On the other side of things, the Cardinals' offense is at maximum strength with Kyler Murray behind center, and he should have his complete offensive arsenal functioning at the highest capacity in this Monday Night matchup.

Historically, this is a nightmare game for Matt Stafford. Stafford is only 9-70 against teams that finish with a winning record and has never beaten a team that is at least five games above .500 at the time he faces them. Unfortunately for him, the Cardinals are a whopping 10-2, so that makes it an easy pick for me.

Prediction: Cardinals 27-Rams 24

Dallas Cowboys at Washington Football Team

After the first eight weeks of the season, Washington was only 2-6 and it looked like they would be fighting for scraps against the Giants for the title of the worst team in the NFC East. Since then, Washington is 4-0 and has been the hottest team in the NFC in that stretch. They'll be putting their streak on the line this week against Dak Prescott and the Cowboys, who have historically dominated the Football Team since Prescott's arrival.

Since Dak's rookie year, he's 7-1 against Washington and has won those games by an average of 13.7 points. This year's Washington defense is particularly vulnerable to the pass,  so Dak will be looking to continue his success against the Football Team and may have the best game of his season.

Prediction: Cowboys 30-Washinton 23

San Fransisco 49ers at Cincinnati Bengals

The Niners will look to rebound from their loss last week in this week's clash against the Bengals. While the Bengals' defense has improved from previous seasons, they won't have many answers for the versatile offense that the Niners will bring into Cincinnati this week. With the ability to spread the field thanks to George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk, this Niners offense is one of the most versatile in the NFL.

While Joe Burrow will most likely turn this one into a shootout with Jimmy Garoppolo, I feel the 49ers will get a few key defensive stops throughout the game that will lead them to victory.

Prediction: 49ers 27-Bengals 24

Buffalo Bills at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Losing to both the Titans and the Jaguars already in the prior months, the Bills have not been the best road team this season. Unfortunately for them, they'll be taking on the Buccaneers who are a perfect 5-0 at home and haven't lost a home game since November of 2020.

Tom Brady should be able to exploit the gaps in the Bills' defense with the help of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Rob Gronkowski, while the Buccaneers defense should be able to pressure the often one-faceted Bills offense. Ultimately, the power rushing of Leonard Fournette in the fourth quarter will seal the deal.

Prediction: Buccaneers 31-Bills 27

The Rest of the League:

  • Titans 27-Jaguars 13
  • Chiefs 31-Raiders 20
  • Saints 20-16 Jets
  • Falcons 24-17 Panthers
  • Seahawks 24-16 Texans
  • Broncos 34-20 Lions
  • Chargers 33-Giants 23
  • Packers 30-Bears 20

BYES: Colts, Dolphins, Patriots, Eagles
