NJ Online Casinos Hit Record Revenues in September Raking In $120 Million

New Jersey Online Casinos' Record Revenues
The New Jersey online gambling market remained red hot with NJ online casinos hitting over $120 million in gross revenues for the month of September. After reaching its latest milestone of $110 million in revenue in August that number jumped up by more than $10 million in September to its new record of $120,103,047, according to figures released October 18th, 2021 by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
The spurt wasn’t completely unexpected as the top online sportsbooks ramped up their marketing to coincide with the start of the 2021 NFL football season. Strong sports activity coupled with generous casino promotions helped operators reach record revenue levels, never seen before in the state.
BetMGM, licensed under the Borgata group, lead the charge with $37 million in online casino revenue. With a massive revenue lead that has increased yet again, BetMGM NJ now firmly sits as the online casino market leader in New Jersey. In second at $31 million was Golden Nugget online casino, which provides licenses to Fanduel, Betfair (now Stardust), and BetAmerica. The NJ online casino and poker market recorded its best revenue month with total online casino & poker revenues reaching $122 million.
However, the real heroes of the month were the online sportsbook who generated a whopping $71 million in online gaming revenue, setting a new revenue record for the state. The $23 million month-over-month increase in online sportsbook revenue was due to the launch of the NFL football season which saw turnover hit over $1 billion in the month for the first time ever in the US.
