Another NFL week, another ugly injury to a league star. Absolutely terrible what happened to Browns running back and four-time Pro Bowler Nick Chubb last night in Pittsburgh.

We’re all rooting for you to heal up and come back, man – yes, even if you’re a Steelers fan you better be wishing for that.

OK. Sigh.

Moving on.

I realize that we’re only two games into the season but you should be optimistic, NFC fans.

I’m already starting to see a pattern this season and it’s that the best NFC teams look better than their AFC counterparts.

And it starts with defense.

You’ll encounter major problems against the Eagles, Niners and Cowboys with their tenacious D's. Each of them ranks in the top 10 in every defensive statistic that’s measurable and matters (points allowed, yards allowed, sacks, takeaways, et al).

Their offenses are looking good too, but it’s early, the schedules tighten up, and who knows about injuries to come. Let’s hope for minor ones and expect only a few major ones.

I’ve been on the record since April saying the Eagles will win the Lombardi Trophy next February and deny the Bills, hexed yet again, of their first Super Bowl championship in franchise history.

Let’s take a look at the latest (Tuesday, Sept. 19) greatest Super Bowl LVIII prop odds to win the big one Sun, Feb 11, 2024, in Las Vegas.

The odds I’m using are courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook, which is one of our favorites, along with many other great gambling sites in the U.S., including FanDuel Sportsbook, BetMGM, and more. And, good news: All of these sites accept PayPal and/or Venmo.

DraftKings Sportsbook’s Super Bowl 2024 Odds

San Francisco 49ers +650

Kansas City Chiefs +700

Philadelphia Eagles +750

Dallas Cowboys +750

Buffalo Bills +1000

Miami Dolphins +1300

Baltimore Ravens +1400

Cincinnati Bengals +2000

Detroit Lions +2000

Cleveland Browns +2200

Jacksonville Jaguars +2500

Los Angeles Chargers +3000

New Orleans Saints +3000

Atlanta Falcons +4000

Seattle Seahawks +4000

Green Bay Packers +5000

Pittsburgh Steelers +5500

New York Jets +7000

Denver Broncos +7000

Minnesota Vikings +7000

Los Angeles Rams +7000

New England Patriots +7000

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +7000

New York Giants +7500

Washington Commanders +7500

Tennessee Titans +7500

Las Vegas Raiders +10000

Indianapolis Colts +13000

Chicago Bears +15000

Carolina Panthers +20000

Houston Texans +40000

Arizona Cardinals +40000

So three of the top four betting choices are NFC teams.

San Francisco has the easiest schedule of all of ‘em, Philadelphia is on a mission after losing last year in heartbreaking fashion to the Chiefs and Dallas is trying to win its first Super Bowl since 1996.

Mark it, Smokeys: One of those NFC teams will be the NFL champs in 2024.

I say that because I’m not all in on the Bills or Dolphins. The Chargers and Bengals, each with a star quarterback, look too shaky, too soon, and I’ve already written about how difficult it is to repeat and how it will be the same for the Chiefs.

Which is why you bet on this future prop right now.

DraftKings Super Bowl 2024 Winning Conference Odds

NFC Conference −110

AFC Conference −110

Don’t kid yourself. This isn’t a coin flip, toss-it-up 50/50 wager.

One of those three NFC teams is your next Super Bowl champ.
