Super Bowl Predictions: Analysis After Week 4 2022

We’re almost at the quarter mark of the 2022 NFL season and the top teams are already beginning to separate themselves from the less fortunate. Only one team remains undefeated after the first four weeks of NFL action, and that is my Super Bowl prediction from last week, the Philadelphia Eagles. Did things change after the fourth week of gridiron action? Let’s take a look.

Teams I Would Avoid
Avoided Teams From Previous Weeks: Buccaneers, Packers, Colts, Broncos
This list is looking great. The Packers are one good win away from sneaking off of this list, but until that happens they’re still in my dog house. The Broncos are set to play tonight (Thursday, October 6th) but a win likely won’t shift the odds too much, seeing as how they are playing against the Colts, who are a fellow member of my list to avoid.
This list is going to get a tad longer this week–and as unfortunate as it may be, it’s due to injury.
Miami Dolphins, +2200
For as long as Tua is out, this Dolphins team is remaining on my avoid list. While Teddy Bridgewater is on my list of Fantasy Sleepers for this week, not every game will be against the Jets–so this Dolphins team may be in for a rude awakening without Tua behind center. Also, the whole Tua situation just clouds this team with bad vibes, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned about Super Bowl winning teams is that it is ALL about vibes.
Teams to Keep an Eye On
Teams To Keep an Eye On from last week: San Francisco 49ers, Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens
This list remains strong–only the Ravens lost their week four game, but it was a nail-biter against the Super Bowl favorite Buffalo Bills, so we can let that one slide. The Niners absolutely embarrassed the Rams in week four, and the Bengals took advantage of the Tua-less Dolphins last Thursday night.
Kansas City Chiefs (+700)
I put the Chiefs in timeout after they lost to the Colts, but they’ve made it back into my articles after two weeks of great play. I really think this is the Chiefs' year–but that Colts loss is still lingering in my mind. Not only did it leave a bad taste in my mouth, but it left a bad memory in my mind–and that’s even worse.
Official Super Bowl Pick After Week Four
Philadelphia Eagles (+800)
The Eagles find themselves back in the driver's seat, as they have now spent back-to-back weeks as my Super Bowl favorites. They are currently third in the NFL in points scored, and have won each game of the season in a commanding fashion. They have a pretty tough test here in week five, as they are set to travel into Arizona to take on the Cardinals. Looking ahead though, their schedule is a cakewalk. They play the Cowboys at home, the Steelers at home, the Texans on the road, the Commanders at home, and the Colts on the road in their next five games. They could be 10-0 in no time.
