Team USA Looks Stacked Ahead Of 2023 World Baseball Classic

I’ll be honest, I’m a massive baseball fan and I’m only learning about the World Baseball Classic being this year right now. I vaguely remember it being canceled due to COVID, but maybe that cancelation just deleted the entire event from my brain? Who knows–but what I DO know is that the fifth installment of the WBC will kick off next March, and things are already looking juicy.
The World Baseball Classic will be expanding to a 20-team field for the first time in the events history, and games will be played all over the world. One half of the quarterfinal round will be played in Japan, while the remaining half will be in Miami. The final championship game, scheduled for March 21st, will take place in Miami as well.
The pools were announced earlier in July, and are as follows:
Pool A: Chinese Taipei, Netherlands, Cuba, Italy, Qualifier Team #1 (TBD)
Pool B: Japan, Korea. Australia, China, Qualifier Team #2 (TBD)
Pool C: USA, Mexico, Colombia, Canada, Qualifier Team #3 (TBD)
Pool D: Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Israel, Qualifier Team #4 (TBD)
In previous classics, team USA would have some solid star power, but nothing too crazy. Well, that all changed this year, because one look at the roster so far will tell you that this team is STACKED. So far, here is who we know will be playing in the 2023 World Baseball Classic for team USA:
- Mike Trout, OF
- Trevor Story, 2B
- Nolan Arenado, 3B
- Paul Goldschmidt, 1B
- JT Realmuto, C
- Bryce Harper, OF/DH
- Pete Alonso, 1B
- Cedric Mullins, OF
- Mookie Betts, OF
They don’t even need a pitcher and I’m sure their betting odds would still be the best. Speaking of betting odds, most sportsbooks don’t have World Baseball Classic odds released yet. However, I am expecting that to change once more of each team’s roster is released. If you want to bet on the World Baseball Classic, you can be sure to do so through any of these New Jersey Online Casinos.
