UFC Fight Night: Andrade vs Blanchfield Odds and Best Bets

This Saturday night, UFC flyweights Jessica Andrade and Erin Blanchfield take centerstage for a fight that promises to be an exciting matchup. Both fighters are highly skilled and have shown the ability to finish fights, making this a complete toss up with a lot on the line.
In one corner we have Jessica Andrade, who is the former UFC strawweight champion who is known for her aggressive style and impressive power. She is moving up to the flyweight division for this fight, and is even doing so on short notice. She is 1-0 at flyweight, thanks to a decision victory over Lauren Murphy.
Andrade has an impressive record of 21 wins and 9 losses, with 8 of those victories coming by the way of knockout. She has a well-rounded skill set, but her striking is what sets her apart, and she will be looking to use her heavy hands to finish the fight.
Erin Blanchfield, on the other hand, is a rising prospect in the UFC flyweight division. At just 22 years old, she already has an impressive record of seven wins and one loss, with four of those victories coming by way of submission. Blanchfield is one of the most dangerous grapplers in the division and can definitely give Andrade a run for her money–but there is no doubt that Blanchfield will be behind in the striking realm. However, a big win over Andrade would do massive things for her reputation.
Andrade vs Blanchfield Odds
In terms of betting, this is a difficult fight to call. Andrade is the much more experienced fighter and has faced some of the toughest women in the game–however, you can argue that Blachfield has a bit more momentum coming into this fight, and is by far the hungriest fighter.
If Andrade could keep this fight on the feet, she has a heavy advantage that Blanchfield would struggle to overcome. However, Blacnfield is incredibly dangerous on her feet, so if she can take her down and control her, she could potentially submit her.
The current betting odds, according to DraftKings Sportsbook, have Andrade as the slight favorite, currently sitting at -130. Blanchfield, who started the week at around +160, has moved all the way down to +110.
Andrade vs Blanchield Prediction
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I’m afraid that Blanchfield may have bit off more than she can chew here. Andrade is a problem for any fighter, and hasn’t lost via submission–Blachfields bread and butter–since 2015. I’d play it safe and go with Andrade here, with a possible bet on her to win via Decision (at +650).
