UFC Fight Night: Grasso vs Araujo Best Bets, Predictions, and Sleepers

It’s that time of the week again–as another week comes to an end, another UFC Fight Card is just beginning to pick up steam. This Saturday, we have a great card headlined by two of the top fighters in the Women’s Flyweight division, as the #5 ranked Alexa Grasso takes on the #6 ranked Vivane Araujo. You can be sure to bet on this Saturday’s card through any of these New Jersey Online Casinos. If you’re not the biggest UFC fan but still want to get in on the action, don’t worry! I’ll be giving out my three best bets that will (hopefully) get you started in the right direction.
Best Bet #1: Cub Swanson vs Jonathan Martinez Fight To Go The Distance (-135)
We’re starting off with a fun one, because it doesn’t matter at ALL who wins the fight–we’re just rooting for the third and final buzzer to come before anyone gets put to sleep. Each of Martinez’s last three fights has gone to decision, and the same can be said for five of his last seven. His opponent, Cub Swanson, hasn’t heard the final bell in any of his last three fights, but is making his Bantamweight debut this Saturday night. Who knows what this weight cut was like for Swanson, who is used to fighting at 145 (featherweight). With a loss of weight usually comes a loss of power, so that should ease your nerves for a Swanson KO. Swanson is also a master of controlled chaos, which may make a less experienced fighter (like Martinez) more tentative to move forward and push the pace.
Best Bet #2: Brandon Royval over Askar Askarov (+200)
Askarov is pound-for-pound one of the best wrestlers in the UFC, which is why you might be surprised to see I have him on the losing side of things here. Askarov usually wins his fights by controlling his opponent–whether it be on the ground, or on the feet (because they are too concerned over a possible takedown). Unfortunately for him, Brandon Royval is a madman, and how can you control what is simply uncontrollable? Askarov recently shared the octagon with a very similar fighter, Kai Kara-France, and lost via decision. I’m calling for a two-fight losing streak for Askarov in this one, as Royval provides some nice plus-money odds as well.
Best Bet #3: Raphael Assuncao vs Victor Henry UNDER 2.5 Rounds (+115)
This is an incredibly tough fight for Victor Henry, a man who only has one prior fight in the UFC, simply due to the fact that he’s taking on a legend in Raphael Assuncao. Assuncao has 15 fights under his belt in the UFC alone, although he currently finds himself on the wrong end of a four-fight losing streak. Unfortunately for the Brazilian native, I think Saturday night will make it five–Henry has a great submission offense of his own, and has a few TKO victories under his belt as well. I think he’s going to get it done, and get it done early–but in order to have a bit of insurance, I stuck to the under–because as we know, anything can happen in MMA.
