UFC Fight Night: Song vs Simon Odds, Best Bets, and Predictions

Another week is in the books, which only means one thing: we’ve got a brand new slate of fights this Saturday night, kicking off at 4:15 PM EST.
Headlined by a high-profile bantamweight bout between Song Yadong and Ricky Simon, this Saturday’s fight card is looking like a good one. While the names aren’t the biggest, the skill is certainly there–which means there is plenty of money to (possibly) be made.
Here’s the full fight card, with odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook.

Song vs Simon Best Bets
Fernando Padilla over Julian Erosa (+110)
This has heavy fight-of-the-night potential, as both fighters could win this fight through any means necessary. Both men have submission wins and KO wins on their resume, and both are very experienced inside the cage. Erosa, however, has much more experience in the UFC, as this will be Padilla’s first fight in the organization.
I think Padilla will be celebrating his debut with a victory, though, as Erosa has shown a tendency to leave his chin open when he fights, and Padilla is a dangerous striker.
Marcos Rogerio De Lima over Waldo Cortes-Acosta (-190)
I know, we’re going chalk off the bat which is always dangerous–but, that’s just how confident I am in De Lima here. Waldo has looked great in his last few fights, but Rogerio De Lima is a tough outing for any opponent. He’s just as dangerous on the ground than he is on his feet, so you’re never safe against a guy like De Lima. I think Cortes-Acosta is going to be in for a rough night on Saturday, losing his undefeated record in the process.
Song Yadong over Ricky Simon (+100)
Simon is riding high, and Yadong is coming off a loss–so this seems like the perfect opportunity for Simon to grab another win and shoot up the rankings, right? Well, not so fast.
Yadong is one of my favorite fighters in the UFC and that’s simply because the kid can brawl. That loss I mentioned earlier was to Cory Sandhagen, who is one of the baddest dudes in the division. Is Ricky Simon bad? Yes. But he’s not Sandhagen bad.
Yadong is a tough matchup for anyone who’s not expecting a brawl, and I think Simon may be overlooking him here. I’ll take Yadong with the plus money.
