Week Eleven Thursday Night Football Best Bets: Tennessee Titans at Green Bay Packers

We had ourselves another awful, sloppy primetime game last Thursday as the Carolina Panthers beat the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 25-15. What was even sloppier than the game was my best bets–I went 1-3 last week, bringing my season record to 17-18. I’ve been flirting with the 50% line all year, and I’ll be looking to break that trend here in week eleven.
This week’s iteration of Thursday Night Football doesn’t seem like it’ll be the best game on the slate, as the struggling Packers (1-5 in their last six) take on the hot Titans (5-1 in their last six). Regardless of the game's merit, I have four best bets for every Thursday Night game, and this Thursday’s is no different. Best Bet #1: Aaron Jones OVER 23.5 Receiving Yards (-120)
The Titans have a pretty solid rush defense, allowing 50+ yards to opposing running backs in only two of their last six games. However, they often find themselves susceptible to running backs working as receivers in the passing game. They’ve allowed 60+ receiving yards to running backs in four of their last five games, and Aaron Jones has surpassed that 23.5 receiving yards in two of his last five games (and has gotten close in two others).
Best Bet #2: Mason Crosby UNDER 7.5 Kicking Points (-140)
I know, I’m giving out another bet with low odds. But, when you’re 17-18 and have your back against the wall, I’d love to see the picks you give out. All this said, I really like this Crosby pick. The Titans haven’t given up more than 7 points to a kicker since week three against the Raiders, and are averaging 5.56 points to opposing kickers on the season. Crosby has not recorded more than seven kicking points in a game since week five against the Giants.
Best Bet #3: Aaron Rodgers OVER 0.5 Interceptions (+150)
Rodgers is usually acclaimed for being one of the most accurate passers in the NFL. However, so far this season he’s thrown seven interceptions (and four in his last two games). The Titans' defense has recorded an interception in all but one of their games so far this season, and have recorded at least one interception in each of their last seven games.
Best Bet #4: Derrick Henry OVER 101.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Oh boy, that’s a lot of yards. That said, Henry has surpassed the 101.5 rushing yard threshold in five of his last six games, and the Packers have one of the worst run defenses in the NFL (allowing an average of 122.80 rushing yards per game to opposing running backs).
