What You Need to Know: Ohio State vs Michigan Picks and Predictions--Michigan Sports Betting

When: Saturday, November 26th at 12 PM EST
No. 2 Ohio State takes on No. 5 Michigan in the latest installment of one of the greatest rivalries in sports. Both teams have seen crazy amounts of success so far this season, combining for a record of 20-2 with both teams standing atop the Eastern Division of the Big Ten. This game has huge conference finals implications, with the winner cementing themselves a spot in that game. Right now Ohio State stands as a huge 7.5 point favorite, but the Wolverines will try their hand at nabbing an upset and beating the Buckeyes for the first time since 2011.
What you need to know:
Buckeye Dominance
As I just stated, the Buckeyes have won each of the last 8 matchups between these two teams--but not only have they won, they have DOMINATED. The Buckeyes have won by an average of 18.2 points in the last 6 matchups between the two teams, with the only one-score win coming in 2016.
Michigan’s Performance against Ranked Opponents
Michigan has only taken on one ranked opponent this season and was not able to capitalize on the opportunity to prove their legitimacy, losing 37-33 to Michigan State back in October. The Michigan defense was able to hold the Spartans to practically no passing offense, but the Wolverines allowed MSU to march all over the field, giving up 197 yards and 5 touchdowns to Spartans running back Kenneth Walker III.
Ohio State’s Heisman Hopeful
Ohio State’s Quarterback CJ Stroud has been phenomenal this year, passing for almost 3,500 yards while tossing 38 touchdowns throughout the season. This had led him to become the sole breakout Heisman favorite, currently sitting as high as -250 on some sports betting apps. It will be interesting to see how the star Quarterback performs against this Michigan defense, who have allowed the eighth least passing yards per game in all of Division 1.
Prediction
It’s hard to go against the Buckeyes in this one, but if Michigan were to break the curse this seems like the perfect year to do it. The Wolverines defense has allowed under 18 points in all but two games this season, and definitely provide CJ Stroud with his biggest test of the season. However, seeing how Stroud absolutely dismantled the Michigan State defense last week, it's fair to say that the Heisman favorite is riding a wave of adrenaline that has no end in sight. I’ll be taking the Buckeyes to win, but see the game ending a lot closer than we expect.
Picks:
