Who’s The Real Homie Hopper? Jets Quarterbacks and Their Interesting Relationships With Women
The New York Jets are a headline factory. It seems like every year they come up with a new way to embarrass themselves–whether it’s Geno Smith getting his jaw broken by a teammate in the preseason, Mark Sanchez sneaking in some hotdogs on the sidelines, or Rex Ryan literally becoming the foot of the joke, the Jets never seem to run out of hilariously embarrassing situations.
And, even though we’re still months away from the 2022/23 NFL Season, the Jets didn’t wait long to embarrass themselves again. If you want to bet on the Jets embarrassing themselves DURING the 2022/23 NFL Season, be sure to do so on these New Jersey Online Casinos.
Rumors have been swirling on Twitter on Tik Tok that indicate current Jets Quarterback Zach Wilson may be in the midst of some lady drama. Now before you click away, this isn’t your classic “Quarterback cheats on girlfriend” story. No, it’s much more interesting than that.
When Wilson was drafted in 2021, Jets fans were introduced to his girlfriend, Abbey. He and Abbey were together for some time, but broke up midway through the season for seemingly no reason.
Fast forward to just yesterday, when Dax Milne (Wilson’s old college teammate and at one time best friend) posted a picture of himself and Abbey, and made it clear the two were dating. Someone commented on the instagram post saying “Homie Hopper,” insinuating that Abbey was just hopping from friend to friend. However, Abbey had some ammunition of her own.
She replied to the comment by saying that Wilson “was sleeping with his mom’s best friend … that’s the real homie hopper.”
Wow. Add on the fact that Wilson is supposed to be a devout Mormon, and we have ourselves a juicy story.
But more so, what we really have is another example of Jets Quarterbacks having newsworthy interactions with women. Remember when it was front-page news that Sam Darnold got mono from presumably smooching on a girl while he was out at the club? And how could we forget when Joe Namath graced the sidelines in a thick fur coat, and drunkenly admitted to the interviewer that he “wanted to kiss” her on live TV?
What's the most worrisome about this news is that it probably wont be the most embarrassing Jets-related thing to come out before the season even starts. At the end of the day though, all you can do is laugh…as well as wonder what it is with Jets QBs making headlines about interactions with women.
