The 2023 Champions League Final between Manchester City and Inter Milan is just days away, and man, should it be a good one.

Well, actually, online sportsbooks have it written off as a forgone conclusion already that Man City will win, but I’m going to take a page out of Ted Lasso’s book and believe in the prospects of a good game.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Man City is -220 to win in regular time, and -650 to win if you exclude a draw. Inter Milan is +550 to win in regular time, and +400 when you exclude the draw. A draw at the end of regular time is currently at +360.

Man City’s win over Man United in the FA Cup final should only bolster the confidence of City fans, as they were able to get it done without much of a contribution from Erling Haaland. Midfielder Ilkay Gundogan scored not only one but TWO goals in the FA Cup final, one of which was an absolute stunner volley from outside the box in the very first minute.

While Haaland wasn’t much of a contributor in that bout, he’s had his fingerprints all over Man City’s Champions League run this year. He’s scored 12 goals in this year's tournament, which is the most in the Champions League this year. He’s the most likely to score a goal in the final according to DraftKings Sportsbook, which has him listed at -190 to score at any time.

But is that the best bet to make? Let’s take a look–here are some bets to consider for Saturday’s Champions League Final.

Champions League Best Bets

Inter Milan UNDER 0.5 Goals (+110)

I know, predicting a shutout in the Champions League Final is a daring play–but hear me out. Man City has gone through a GAMBIT of powerful teams to get here–just in the last two rounds they’ve beaten Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Not only did they beat those teams, but they held each of them to a shutout in at least one of the two games they played against either team. Man City is on a tear as of late, and I really don’t expect it to end. That said, if someone WERE to score on Inter, I think it would be…

Lautaro Martinez Anytime Goal Scorer (+290)

You’re getting a bit of value here on a great goal scorer–he’s scored twice in Inter’s last four Champions League games. While there certainly are different ways to go–I’m looking at you, Ediz Dzeko–I think Inter will continue to look towards the hot hand (foot) and play through Martinez.

Moneyline First Half: DRAW (+130)

I feel like Inter will play a better game than any of us expect them to do–they are a defensively solid team that Man City could very easily be overlooking. While I expect City to win the game at the end of the day, it may be harder for them to accomplish than they expected. I’m feeling a final score of 1-0, with a goal coming for City in around the 60th minute.
