We’ve been in for an enthralling few weeks of football, as the FIFA World Cup kicked off with an enormous 7.2 million viewers in the United States alone. According to the Associated Press News, the opening game (where Ecuador won 2-0 over Qatar) saw a staggering 88% increase in Fox Sports viewership from the 2018 World Cup opener.

In that particular outing, the Russian national team blew out Saudi Arabia’s national team 5-0, and 2022’s opening also blew out that particular opening with a 164% increase in viewership from Telemundo. Only time will tell how the viewership of tomorrow’s quarter-final round will compare with the opening round’s viewership, and only time will tell how tomorrow’s quarter-final rounds shake out.

Morocco’s national team (Group F, 2W-1D-0L) will be facing off against Portugal’s national team (Group H, 2W-0D-1L), and later in the afternoon tomorrow, England (Group B, 2W-1D-0L) will be squaring off with France (Group D, 2W–0D–1L) to decide who advances to the next round.

Ahead of tomorrow’s Saturday World Cup matchups, let’s take a look at where FanDuel’s bookmakers and prognosticators see the odds leaning.

Saturday World Cup Picks

Portugal’s national team was able to break surprising ground given the fact that they had just benched and replaced their formerly star forward, Cristiano Ronaldo. On the other side, Morocco’s national team is aiming to break historic ground as the first African nation to advance to a semi-final World Cup round. Their quarter-final kickoff is set for 10:00 A.M. EST.

The French national team has been able to hold an impressive stride, in no small part thanks to the talents of star forward Kylian Mbappe, but the Three Lions’ are bound to give his team one of their biggest challenges yet. Their quarter-final kickoff is set for 2:00 P.M. EST.

Both matches are slated to both be two exciting 90-minute bouts of gargantuan, tremendous talents going toe-to-toe with one another. We’ve got the main FanDuel odds for both main events, and some online sportsbook promos you won’t wanna miss!

World Cup: Morocco vs. Portugal

Here are the latest FanDuel odds for tomorrow’s quarter-final World Cup game between Portugal and Morocco:

  • Three-Way Moneyline: Morocco (+450), Draw (+250), Portugal (-145)

  • O/U 2.5 Total Goals: Over 2.5 Goals (+124), Under 2.5 Goals (-152)

  • Draw/Tie No Bet: Morocco (+290), Portugal (-410)

  • Both Teams To Score: Yes (+114), No (-146)

  • To Qualify For Next Round: Morocco (+260), Portugal (-350)

This game will likely be a battle between a powerhouse defense and a powerhouse offense. Morocco's defense has conceded only one goal so far through this entire run, but on the flip side, they’ve only scored two goals through this entire run. By contrast, Portugal has scored a whopping 12 goals throughout their entire 2022 World Cup run.

In Portugal’s last game, they were able to absolutely decimate Switzerland with six goals and nine shots on target. With powerful offensive weapons like Bruno Fernandes and Ronaldo’s replacement, Goncalo Ramos, Portugal’s firepower was able to quickly make short work of the favored Swiss national team.

While Morocco’s defensive prowess might be favored to keep the game under the goal line and not let things slide into another total bloodbath, the odds don’t quite favor them overcoming Portugal’s offensive prowess. Dimers’ computerized predictive algorithm only gives Morocco a slim 19.9% implied probability to win outright against Portugal.

Perhaps they can pull off the upset and defy those odds, but it’s not going to be easy for the Moroccan defense to hold the line against one of the World Cup’s most menacing offensive lines.

World Cup: England vs. France

Let’s take a look at where FanDuel’s odds currently stand for tomorrow’s quarter-final event between France and England:

  • Three-Way Moneyline: England (+195), Draw (+220), France (+145)

  • O/U 2.5 Total Goals: Over 2.5 Goals (+114), Under 2.5 Goals (-138)

  • Draw/Tie No Bet: England (+105), France (-140)

  • Both Teams To Score: Yes (-120), No (-105)

  • To Qualify For Next Round: France (-130), England (+108)

This is looking to be a close contest between two teams with excellent midfielders on their lineup, and the odds reflect that closeness. England is likely to deploy a wide defensive wingback to slow down Mbappe, and France’s defense is quite a force to be reckoned with in its own right.

For those reasons, it makes sense that the odds slightly favor France to win and qualify for the next week, and that they anticipate this matchup to most likely be a lower-scoring affair. For both of these two games, we’ve got two awesome promos, courtesy of our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook!
