The Houston Astros are gearing up to step up to their home plate again tonight (8:09 EST) following a crushing 6-2 defeat at the mercy of the Atlanta Braves yesterday. It’s impressive that Atlanta was able to overcome such a home-field advantage, and doubly impressive that the team was able to overcome in spite of losing their top pitcher Charlie Morton to a right fibula injury.

Filling in for Morton tonight will be pitcher Max Fried. With a killer fastball topping out at 99.2 MPH (per Baseball Savant), Braves fans can rest assured that their team will still be able to throw some heat tonight. In any case, the fight is still far from over, and we’ve got multiple betting lines from multiple of the industry’s best online sportsbooks on where the fight stands now. Here’s the rundown.

World Series Game 2 Betting Odds

Right now, DraftKings Sportsbook still has the Houston Astros positioned as -1.5 favorites for tonight’s run line, and -125 favorites on tonight’s moneyline, 14 points over WynnBet’s -111, and 20 points over BetMGM’s -105. Even after their crushing World Series Game 1 defeat yesterday, it still seems like multiple oddsmakers have their odds on the Astros.

Even so, it looks like there could possibly be a potential public fade in the works, as the Braves boast 52% of the run line betting handle, 79% of the total run betting handle, and have evenly matched Houston with 50% of the moneyline bets tonight.

DraftKings Sportsbook bettors can also look forward to three exciting odds boost specials available for tonight’s game:

  • Slump Buster: Joshua Altuve to have +2 hits (Boosted +200)
  • Soler Power: Jorge Soler hits a home run (Boosted +380)
  • Highest KIPER: Highest Ks, IP, ER: Jose Urquidy (+120) vs. Max Fried (-140)

Time will tell whether or not phenoms like Fried cash out for the betting public, but in the meantime, players in New Jersey, Michigan, and more of the nation’s best betting markets should follow the lines closely.
