The Northern Waters Casino & Resort is owned and operated by the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. The gaming floor offers 25,000 square feet of casino fun with over 500 video and reel slot machine games.

Casino History
Northern Waters Casino Resort is owned and operated by the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.
When the Ojibwe Nation divided and expanded westward from the Sault Ste. Marie region, the southern branch of Ojibwe, came to the Lac Vieux Desert.
In 1934, a law was passed encouraging tribes to self-govern. Together with the formerly independent L'Anse and Ontonagon bands, the tribe is now classified as the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community.
