Skillz is completely different from other sites because it’s not technically a sweepstakes casino at all.

Instead of playing casino games with Sweeps Coins, you’ll play board games, card games, word games, and puzzles against other players with Ticketz. You can also play social casino games like slots, plinko, and minesweeper with Ticketz.

Any Ticketz you win in gameplay can be redeemed for prizes, such as shopping sprees, 3D printers, and swag. Or, play games just for fun with Z Coins, which cannot be redeemed for prizes.

I awarded Skillz a 9.2 for its comparison because it has a unique model that allows you to play games against other players that you won’t find at sweepstakes casinos; I deducted some points because you cannot redeem Ticketz for cash prizes.

Skillz Hands-on Review

Skillz offers a relatively good desktop experience and a solid experience on the dedicated mobile app.

Overall, Skillz offers a lot of unique games, good navigation, and a well-designed website and mobile app, so it received a 9.1 user experience score.

Playing on Desktop

You’re only able to play social casino games with Z Coins on the full desktop website; if you want to play puzzle games against other players, you’ll need to launch the WebGL site (which you can do through any puzzle).

I played a few of my favorite slots, which all loaded pretty quickly, but I didn’t spend too much time playing on my laptop, as there is no way to play with Ticketz on the full website.

Yet, I could still access most of my account settings on the website, so I took the opportunity to check out some of the navigation options.

I could easily check my Z Coins and Ticketz balances and purchase Z Coins directly from the website.

Before launching any social casino game, I was prompted to choose between playing with Z Coins or Ticketz, so I always knew which mode I was playing in.

Daily Login Bonus

Skillz offers a daily login bonus; however, I was unable to claim this bonus, and Skillz doesn’t explicitly state how many Z Coins or Ticketz you can claim each day when you log into your account.

Each time I tried to collect the daily login bonus, I received an error message.

Refer-a-Friend Bonus

Skillz also offers a friend referral bonus when you invite friends to join and your friend makes a purchase.

To refer friends, follow these steps:
