FunzCity is one of the newest sweepstakes casinos in the industry, so its polished platform shocked me a little.

It's owned and operated by A1 Development – the same group that owns Funrize, TaoFortune, NoLimitcoins, and Fortune Wheelz – so you know the platform is safe and secure.

Both the desktop website and mobile-optimized site are well organized and responsive, earning this sweepstakes casino an 8.9 experience rating.

I'll break down everything you need to know about FunzCity below.

Playing on Desktop

FunzCity has a beautiful website – it’s of course modeled very similar to its sister sites Funrize, TaoFortune, NoLimitCoins, and Fortune Wheelz – and it shows.

The website is smooth and easy to navigate. Your promotions are at the top of the page, with a rolling header of choices.

Once you scroll past the header, you’ll find the games, which are arranged by type with a unique “For You” section of games, based on your previous selections.

I found some of my favorite games available at FunzCity through this section.

The website looks great, but it did have some minor (and I do mean minor) issues in terms of performance. The games didn’t load as efficiently as I am used to at sweepstakes casinos, and a couple of times I lost connection to the site which would back me out of the game and force me to re-login.

This only happened once or twice in the couple of hours I spent researching the site – but it was annoying enough that I thought it was worth a mention.

Overall, this was a solid website for a new sweepstakes casino that will undoubtedly improve in the next couple of weeks, months, and years as FunzCity finds its footing.

Playing on Mobile

The mobile site for FunzCity mirrors the desktop experience, and it does a great job transferring the content and games to mobile. And although FunzCity doesn’t offer a dedicated mobile app on Android or iOS; you can play through your device’s mobile browser.

Oddly enough, I didn’t have the same performance issues on mobile as I did on desktop.

I was able to easily log in and wasn’t logged out until I closed the tab. The games also ran smoothly, even though some were more graphically heavy.

The site also just fits the eye better on mobile – it doesn’t feel as overwhelming and has better margins.

Even though I enjoy the big, full-screen experience of playing on a desktop – overall, I would have to say that I prefer playing on mobile more.

In either case, FunzCity provides a great mobile experience and one that I would recommend you check out for yourself.

Promotional Mode: Once you make a Fun Coins purchase, you’ll unlock City Coins and be able to play in promotional mode. Wins from playing with City Coins can be redeemed for real prizes.

Winnings: Any wins from playing in City Coins mode will be entered into your Winning Balance. Winnings can either be redeemed or used to purchase more City Coins.

Standard Play Mode: Fun Coins have no redeemable value and are strictly for playing for fun. There are ample ways to earn Fun Coins including purchasing them and through promotions.

How Do You Win Cash Prizes at FunzCity? 

You can win cash prizes at FunzCity by playing with City Coins.

Any winnings from your City Coins will be added to your Winnings balance – which can be redeemed for cash prizes when you reach the minimum amount of coins ($100 to PayPal/Visa, $50 to ACH Transfer, $25 with Gift Cards).

Is FunzCity Casino Legit?

Based on my research, FunzCity is a legitimate gaming site.

It is owned and operated by A1 Development, one of the most popular sweepstakes casino brands in the industry.

It operates in all U.S. states except for Idaho, Michigan, Washington, and Wyoming.

One area that FunzCity lacks is self-exclusion; most sweepstakes casinos will have a program or page in place where you can set deposit limits, time limits, or even fully exclude your account.

I was unable to find anything on FunzCity that provided these options – or even a responsible gambling page. It’s likely this feature will added in the future and this section will be updated when this happens.

How To Join FunzCity Casino

Signing up for an account at FunzCity was easier than at other sweepstakes casinos. The only information I needed to fill out was my name and email address; however, to claim the full no-purchase welcome bonus I needed to complete a few qualifying actions.

Here are all the steps you’ll need to take to create an account at FunzCity and claim your welcome bonus:

1. Click the “Claim Offer” button to get tto the homepage and create your account at FunzCity.

2. Create your account using Google, Facebook, or your email address.

3. Complete the on-screen prompts and enter your personal information including your email address.

FunzCity offers both a no-deposit bonus and a first-purchase promo.

While the no-deposit bonus only offers 200 City Coins (the FunzCity branded version of Sweepstakes Coins), I was able to claim a first-purchase promo that offered a bonus of even more Free City Coins.

I rated FunzCity a 9.1 for its welcome bonus because I was able to claim a few City Coins as well as a good number of Fun Coins.

When you create a new player account at this sweepstakes casino, you’ll immediately receive a FunzCity no-deposit bonus of 125,000 Fun Coins.

Daily Login Bonus

Each day you log into your account (after you’ve completed your account profile setup), you can claim a daily login bonus.

FunzCity has one of the best rewards programs I’ve seen at a sweepstakes casino, and each level has eight different tiers within the rewards.

It truly felt like the rewards didn’t stop. Each time I reached a new tier, I received a free wheel spin.

Redeeming at FunzCity is a bit of a process – especially if you’re looking to do so for cash prizes.

First, you’ll need to win the minimum amount of Winnings for your redemption method. For cash prize redemptions (through Paypal); you’ll need to reach a minimum of 100 Winnings.

You can redeem 50 in Winnings if you use ACH Transfer; however, this is generally a longer process and can take up to 3 days to process your redemptions, and another 5 to 7 days for your prize to reach your account.

FunzCity also offers Gift Card redemptions – which it says can be up to 20% extra to redeem – and has a minimum redemption amount of 25 in Winnings.

When FunzCity launched, it offered around 100 games – but now it has increased its library to more than 350 games, including slots and fish games.

I rated FunzCity a 9.1 games score because it offers a solid number of titles. Even though it only offers slots and fish games, these are the most popular categories at sweepstakes casinos.

FunzCity Slots 

The majority of games offered on FunzCity are slots – and the majority of those are provided by NETGame Entertainment.

NETGame has a solid rotation of games, but they can get a bit boring.

A lot of the games are very similar to each other with unimaginative paylines and similar bonuses. This was fine for me – I generally prefer simple, straightforward games as it is.

But if you’re someone who enjoys Megaways or flashy, unique slots – this may not be the site for you.

Fishing Games

Fishing Games are a new revolution in the online gaming industry and a new fun option to play.

The premise is simple: shoot fish scrolling across your screen, alongside other players in real-time. Every fish you eliminate awards you coins – the bigger the fish, the bigger the prizes.

Some fish games will also offer power-ups and other types of rewards within the game.

These games do have a sort of skill gap – so be sure to test out using Fun Coins before hopping into play with City Coins.

FunzCity RTPs

FunzCity does not list its return-to-player percentages (RTPs) for the majority of its games – but since the majority of games are provided by NetGames, you can find the RTPs on the developer’s site.

Most of the games provided are on the lower side of the average RTP you’ll see at most sweepstakes casinos, with most hovering around the 96% RTP mark.

It’s a minor difference, but a ton of sweepstakes casino slots have begun to reach the 97%+ mark, so you may be giving up a small percent.

There is a good welcome bonus (including a solid no-purchase bonus and good first-purchase promo) and plenty of promotions for existing users.

The game selection is a bit unimaginative – but it is a fresh look with games you won’t see everywhere else.
