Ever since the legal online sports betting market initially launched in 2018, it’s been a madhouse. With a new online sportsbook seemingly opening up every day, it became almost impossible to track odds and find which sportsbooks were giving out props and bets at a better value. Two young sports bettors recognized this issue, and wanted to build a software that would not only help you compare odds, but also help you capitalize on any large disparities and make a little bit of cash–and so, OddsJam was born.
If you don’t know what OddsJam is, you’re going to want to keep reading because it is a must-have for any serious sports bettor out there. OddsJam is the leading provider in sports betting news and data, providing odds comparisons for over 100 sportsbooks and publishing 200+ news pieces every week. OddsJam gets real-time, up-to-date data from each of the 100+ sportsbooks and uses that to give its users an advantage. If you already know you want to sign up, make sure you use the OddsJam promo code on OddsSeeker. Want to learn more? Just keep reading.
What Is OddsJam?
Simply put, OddsJam is one of the most sophisticated odds-comparing tools on the market. While that may not sound like much, just wait until you find out what you can do with the information that OddsJam provides. Using the OddsJam software, you can easily place arbitrage bets that almost ensure profit no matter what. OddsJam provides much more than that, though–through their software, you can use any of these tools to make sure your betting experience is a good one: Positive EV Betting, Middle Betting, Free Betting, and, of course, Arbitrage Betting.
What Is Arbitrage Betting?
Simply put, an Arbitrage Bet in sports betting is when a bettor places multiple bets on the same event through different sportsbooks in order to ensure a profit, no matter the outcome. So, an example of how that could be possible is:
If Sportsbook A is offering the Bears Moneyline at +110 against the Vikings, you can bet $100 on that and win $110 profit if the Bears win. At the same time, though, sportsbook B has the game as a dead split, giving both the Bears and the Vikings -105 odds to win the affair. You can then place a $105 bet on the Vikings there, in which you would win $100 profit if it cashes. So, at the end of the day, there’s no way you can win both bets–but, the worst you will do is break even, and the best you can do is win $5. Because, in total, you’ve bet $205. If the Bears win you receive $210, and if the Vikings win you receive $205.
Sounds simple enough, right? Well, the people at OddsJam have made this process even easier. The OddsJam Arbitrage Betting Tool seeks out these arbitrage opportunities and shows them to you in real-time, from sporting events across the world. It even allows you to narrow them down and sort them by the highest percentage of profit.
What Is Positive EV Betting?
EV, or expected value, is a calculation made by OddsJam that finds the expected value of a bet at some point in the near future. It does this by multiplying the difference in winning probability by the amount you may win, and then the losing probability by the amount you may lose. Obviously, you want the first calculation to be higher, in which case OddsJam will present that information to you as a positive number. Every time you get a positive EV, that is OddsJam telling you that it is at least expected to be a profitable bet.
What Is Free Betting?
You know all those great promo codes that online sportsbooks offer? Like those free bets, promotions, bonuses, and credits? Well, the Free Bet Conversion tool at OddsJam allows you to convert those free bet credits into cold hard cash, and receive up to 75% of the value of the credit in cash. So, would you rather have a $20 free bet or just $15 you can spend on anything? I’d take the latter 10 out of 10 times.
What Is Middle Betting?
Sports bettors may already be familiar with the concept of middle betting–it’s when you make two bets on the same event, and both can win as long as an often specific outcome comes to fruition. Oftentimes these are made before and during events, when the odds may have shifted. So, for example, let's say I bet on the Bears +4 before the game, and the Vikings got out to a slow start and are down 10 at the half. I can then also take the Vikings' moneyline, which would probably be around +210, and I would have a decent chance of winning both if the Vikings can end up winning by 3 or less. It’s a very rare scenario in sports betting, and that was a very simple example–but OddsJam’s Middle Betting tool displays all the middle bets available on all sports sorted by expected profit, so they make it very easy for you.
